Our DP’s resignation and a restructure of the leadership team provides an exciting opportunity for an energetic and motivated deputy principal to join the principal to inspire learning schoolwide and engage effectively with our school community.
We are looking for a colleague who is dynamic, relationship-based, and most importantly enjoys teaching and the difference we can make in the world through our tamariki. You would need to be future-focused, and a strategic thinker with the ability to both inspire and lead change. The successful applicant will have a deep pedagogical knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and a commitment to creating the very best teaching and learning environment. You will also have the opportunity for self-growth and development as a leader. A sense of fun is essential!
Leading curriculum and pedagogy, strengthening assessment for learning and the use of digital tools for learning are key roles of the deputy principal role.
The successful candidate will not have a class of their own, however the position carries a teaching component of 0.2 classroom release working across all areas of our school. How this will look will depend on your strengths and be negotiated with you.
Depending on your strengths, there may be an opportunity to negotiate an additional fixed-term management unit for a specific area of leadership over and above the DP role.
If the prospect of leading change that will positively impact on our learning and culture inspires you, then this is the perfect role for you!
Start date negotiable, either term 4 or to begin 2020.
