Are you motivated to make a difference? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate educator with proven leadership experience to lead our Y3–4 team.

As a competent and effective teacher you will:

  • Be an outstanding practitioner with strong , current pedagogical, curriculum and assessment knowledge, particularly in literacy and mathematics
  • Have proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders
  • Promote and support innovative and inclusive classroom practices, managing behaviour in positive, restorative and purposeful ways
  • Have knowledge of and commitment to principles of modern learning and innovative teaching practices that include leveraging digital, NPDL, SOLO and visible learning
  • Demonstrate strong administrative skills and exceptional communication abilities to maintain appropriate networks at all levels 
  • Ability to work collaboratively to design and deliver an effective transition from play-based to digital/project-based learning environments
  • Demonstrate transformational leadership skills that will effect change through innovation and collaborative practices
  • Be able to articulate your personal leadership style and philosophy of how you will enhance the curriculum experience of your learners.

This position attracts 0.2 leadership release, 2PU (one each for team leadership and schoolwide leadership of student wellbeing). Possibility of one further unit associated with schoolwide leadership in an area of strength e.g. Māori, learning support.
