Our current DRS is retiring at the end of 2019 and so our school seeks an outstanding professional leader who is confident and actively supports excellence at every level of our Catholic school. This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging or experienced leader who is looking for a school in which they can thrive in a culture of continuous learning, building on the foundations already laid by the previous DRS.
You will have a key role in strengthening religious education teaching across the school and in further developing our special Catholic character, the cornerstone of our school
You will be an integral part of a dynamic and ambitious senior leadership team that embraces future-focused learning pedagogy
You will be an excellent communicator, an outstanding teacher and will be committed to developing your own future as an educational leader.
Our school is situated on the North Shore of Auckland and serves the parish of St Mary’s Northcote. The school has a commitment to innovative learning practices and a mixture of flexible learning spaces and single-cell classrooms. We are very well-resourced and have excellent facilities that support our children’s learning. You will benefit from 0.2 release as part of your role. Fixed-term management units are to be negotiated, as there may be an opportunity to undertake further leadership across the school.
A willingness and ability to participate in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school is a condition of appointment. The successful candidate must be able to give guidance and provide effective leadership in religious education and observances throughout the school.
Appointment commences term 1, 2020.
Visits to the school are encouraged.
