We are the social services arm of the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu. The Diocese consists of 33 parishes, located from Tararua in the south to Bay of Plenty in the north, incorporating Taupō to the west and Tairāwhiti to the east.

 Do you have:

  • Expert knowledge of current best practice in education?
  • A well-developed understanding of the cultural context of learning and educational outcomes for priority learners?
  • Sound knowledge of current early childhood pedagogy and Te Whāriki?

If you answered yes to these questions we have an exciting opportunity with the ACW team. A 2 year fixed-term practice lead education role has been created to support our education services so that all children in our services can experience success. We have an incredible group of ECE managers and teachers across our centres and OSCAR programmes which are committed to the tamariki and whānau we serve.

This part-time role of 10-–0 hours a week is based in either Napier or Papamoa, with frequent travel throughout the Diocese.

We are looking for a qualified NZ registered ECE teacher holding a current practising certificate with experience at a senior level. You’ll also bring your warm personality and professional work ethic. In return, we will provide you with a supportive, fully resourced and flexible working environment with passionate people who are very proud of what they do in their communities.

You must have an affinity for the Anglican Church, a strong commitment to our values, enjoy meeting new people, and be an enterprising person who loves contributing to positive change.

If you are ready to take on this opportunity, we’d love to hear from you!
