As the manager of Napier Family Centre’s home-based ECE service, you will lead a team of skilled and experienced visiting teachers and talented, qualified educarers. You will also be part of a team of professional teachers, counsellors, social workers and financial literacy mentors at Napier Family Centre. You will be inspired by the contribution you can make to our community through your work and the positive outcomes we strive for our children and whānau. The supportive executive team environment gives you the opportunity to bring to the fore your collaborative style of working.

To be successful you will have:

  • An in-depth knowledge of the early childhood education sector
  • Proven strategic planning development and delivery skills
  • Excellent communication, analytical and financial skills as well as strong writing and presentation skills
  • Proven leadership capabilities, self-motivation, sound judgement and collaborative working style
  • An ability to take on challenges to implement new initiatives
  • A bachelor's degree in education or similar (plus a qualification in business is preferred) and at least five years' general management experience
  • Current teacher’s registration with the Education Council.
