As a highly competent and effective classroom teacher, you will:
Be well conversant with current curriculum content and teaching practice, particularly in literacy and numeracy
Have a proven ability to maintain positive relationships with children, managing behaviour in a positive and purposeful way
Have a knowledge of and commitment to the principles of modern learning teaching practices
Utilise IT in the everyday classroom programme
Have sound knowledge of the new curriculum, curriculum delivery, assessment and review with the ability to further develop the school curriculum framework
Have proven leadership and a high level of competence in administration
Proven ability to develop and maintain appropriate networks for effective communication within the school and with its community
Actively look to develop a wide teaching and leadership experience base
Exceptional communication skills – orally, in writing, listening and consulting
ILE and single-cell class experience and be comfortable teaching in both.
Shortlisting will be completed by Wednesday 30 July and interviews will take place at the end of week 2, term 3.
Role commences 19 August.
