Are you looking for a fantastic management opportunity within an outstanding early childhood centre?

We are seeking an experienced centre manager for our Bell Block, New Plymouth preschool who has previous proven ability in passion, purpose and performance in managing a large team and great centre performance.

Our centre manager will get plenty of professional support, and guidance will be available from the general manager and directors, however we are in search of someone who can competently manage the day-to-day running and advocate for quality practices for both kaiako and tamariki.

As an ECE manager, you will be responsible for the full cycle of business operations, ensuring the centre provides exceptional care to the children, and supporting and growing the team of wonderful educators.

Experience and knowledge:

  • Must have proven recent success in an educational management position
  • A passion for building meaningful relationships with children and their families
  • A drive to provide learning opportunities that extend beyond the centre, out into the wider community
  • An ability to set a 'big picture' direction, while making sure the day-to-day details are attended to
  • Sound business acumen and competence in IT applications and social media utilisation
  • Previous financial/budget management 
  • A real vision as to what you would like to achieve as the leader of a successful centre.


  • Provide quality education and childcare that meets the expectations of licensee, parents and families/whānau
  • Positively promote the centre within the community while effectively managing the centre in terms of compliance and facility management
  • Ensuring financial performance meets company policy accurately in a timely manner
  • Effectively lead centre staff, utilising current criteria and staff management practices
  • Lead the vision, values, purpose and beliefs of Future Kids and motivate others to do the same.
