Our kindergarten is currently looking for a full-time 40 hours per week, ECE qualified and certificated teacher to join their dedicated team.
We aim to nurture children's innate desires to explore and understand their world through play – inspiring themselves and each other through their discoveries, imaginative thinking, wonderings and ideas about people, places and things.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching and supporting every child to explore their interests and pursue the ideas that capture their imaginations. You must have an extensive knowledge of Te Whāriki and love working within a largely emergent programme and focusing on project-based inquiry learning. You will be a reliable team player with a strong sense of initiative and commitment to work collaboratively towards the shared vision and goals for our kindergarten. You will have a strong focus on working with the community and whānau participation, and have experience with transition to school strategies. You will share the organisation's commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and bicultural practice and be competent using ICT as a teaching tool.
