Suitable for experienced kaiako but beginning kaiako should consider applying.

Kei te rapu mātou i tētahi kaiako matatau ki te reo Māori me ōna tikanga.

E mohio ana ki TMarautanga o Aotearoa me Ngā Whanaketanga.

We have a fixed-term position available for a kaiako in our Rūmaki Tuakana class, with the possibility of a permanent position in 2020. The successful applicant will start term 3.

This is an opportunity for a kaiako fluent in te reo Māori, able to teach our Level 1 immersion class. The position will require a highly effective teacher who can inspire and engage children, teachers and the community. You must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent knowledge of Te Marautanga o Aotearoa, and Te Waharoa Ararau, and be able to implement learning through inquiry. Our kaiawhina would assist the kaiako daily.

We continue an exciting journey in our Dual Medium learning community and seek a key member of our Rūmaki team, prepared to be involved in collaborative change which is future-focused.

The new appointee will be teaching in a composite Y5–8 class in the Māori medium area of the school.

Strengths in pangarau, te reo matatini, digital IT and/or Enviroschools would be helpful.
