We are looking for a registered, experienced teacher to join the teaching team at Te Au rere a te Tonga Youth Residence in Palmerston North. Both primary and secondary trained teachers are encouraged to apply.

The successful applicant will ideally be able to understand the needs of our students aged between 14 and 17 years, have recent successful experience engaging youth in education and be able to work within a strong, dynamic team.

Experience in teaching technology at a secondary school level is desirable. The ability to plan and teach units of work across a variety of curriculum areas is essential.  

There is some flexibility in timetabling and number of hours worked, with a minimum of 0.5 full-time equivalent.
