Our kura is seeking a deeply passionate and highly effective Y4–6 class teacher starting from the beginning of term 3.

We are looking for a teacher who is compassionate and willing to be a champion to all students at our kura. Applicants should have strong interpersonal and organisational skills, sporting strengths, proven highly effective behaviour management skills, a deep understanding (or willingness to learn) of Te Ao Māori and demonstrated knowledge of inclusive practice.

The ideal candidate would have strengths in whole-school sporting events coordination, learning with digital technologies, cultural responsiveness, teaching as inquiry, assessment for learning, whānau engagement and PB4L. 

Play-based or learning through play pedagogy would also be seen as a strength. 

For the right applicant, this role comes with the possibility of 1FTMU.  

Start date term 1, 2020 or earlier by negotiation.
