NZQA invites applications for NCEA and New Zealand Scholarship marker and verifier roles.

Returning markers

NZQA contractors, will be able to use their username/ID and password to access the application form.

If you already have a User ID and Password for NZQA you MUST use these to complete your marker application, do not re-register, go to the Login page

New applicants

New applicants will be required to complete NZQA's registration process before filling out the application form.

Information for new applicants

Marking will require approximately 11 days within the period 3 November to 24 December (markers must be available until 24 December).

While applicants for marker roles must generally reside in the region where the panel is based, Visual arts verifiers or markers may reside anywhere in New Zealand but must be available to travel to Wellington for the marking period.

Visual arts verifiers and markers may be appointed to a maximum of two levels. Details of the verification dates for each level are available in the role definition online.

Language verification will require up to nine days in the period between 20 October and 22 December.

All markers and verifiers MUST attend at least one panel meeting for training before marking begins.
