Our Tane Mahuta room caters for children aged 3 to 5 years old. Our teaching team is passionate about our children and celebrate our diversity, multiculturalism and biculturalism. Our open door policy is a wonderful opportunity to build relationships with whānau and to gather information about each special child.
 
Extending learning through curiosity and inquiry helps children build confidence to explore and uncover a whole world of learning. Tane Mahuta is the god of the forest, his tamariki are the birds and insects.

We are looking for a qualified teacher for our 3 to 5-year-olds to join us on a full-time, permanent basis. 
 
To be successful in this role you will have the following traits:

  • Qualification in ECE
  • A current teacher registration
  • An understanding of Te Whāriki
  • Have experience in programme planning and self-review
  • The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment for children and parents/whānau
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and be a confident communicator
  • Be self-motivated, innovative, enthusiastic and reflective.
