We are offering an exciting opportunity for a teacher to join our infants and toddlers team on a part-time basis of 30 hours per week.

This is a great opportunity for ECE teachers who would like to spend more time with their families while still working five days a week.

Our employee benefits include:

  • Endless support and development
  • Health insurance
  • Discounted childcare
  • Paid staff meetings
  • 10 days sick leave.

Our centre specialises in infants and toddlers care, with 2 rooms allowing for children to participate in exciting, age-appropriate activities and experiences. We have two exciting playgrounds with large open play spaces for children to explore, and have many opportunities for both gross and fine motor play.

Our philosophy is underpinned by the strong, responsive and respectful relationships that we form with each family, each child and the community to support a sense of belonging within our centre. We endeavor to be a home away from home for the children and to be the centre of choice in the community for children, whānau and teachers.

Our ideal teacher will have the following skills:

  • Qualified ECE teacher (with full or provisional registration)
  • Understand child development in children 3 months to 3 years
  • Knowledge and enthusiasm to contribute towards programme planning
  • Great communication and people skills
  • High use of initiative, flexibility and good time management skills
  • Have strengths or interests in te reo Māori
  • Be passionate about our centre philosophy and team culture
  • A sound understanding of, and the ability to contribute to, programme planning and self-reviews, specific to infants and toddlers
  • Ability to quickly build positive relationships with children, whānau, and team members.

If you were nodding your head while reading this and ticking all those boxes – do not hesitate to get your application in!
