Our Upper Hutt Education Network of schools is recruiting for an impact connector to support and strengthen the capability of our SENCOs, teacher aides, staff and schools to develop their local wellbeing, social and emotional curriculum. We believe this position will support the Network towards achieving its vision of ‘Shaping our future with engaging learning pathways for ngā ākonga’.
This position will be supported by 2 key mentors – with expertise in health and education.
The network impact connector (NIC) will:
Be a registered, experienced teacher
Have strong interpersonal relationship skills and be able to quickly build strong connections/relationships with a wide range of people and groups
Be confident with data
Be passionate about achieving the Network vision
Be an excellent communicator
Have good knowledge of wellbeing, social and emotional development and be a lifelong learner interested and dedicated to learning more about these areas
Actively seek out research to support practice
Be resilient, with a sense of humour
Be able to work independently with a high level of self motivation.
Salary will be based on the Primary School Collective Agreement and units will be negotiated. This is an exciting special project with the possibility of continuation into 2020.
