This exciting role is part of our senior leadership team. As one of our 2 associate principals, you will lead inclusive learning at our school through effective pedagogy, professional development and implementation of our wellbeing framework.

Your superpowers will include…

  • A genuine passion for success for all, and the ability to see the bigger picture to help connect the dots for our students and staff
  • The ability to recognise the importance of identifying the patterns, strengths and challenges within learning difference
  • Knowledge about what is needed to enable students with learning difference to harness their strengths and thrive, and be able to lead the provision of that support in our school
  • The expertise to develop and share knowledge (together with our learning teams) to implement best practice about learning difference within inclusive learning environments
  • The ability to quickly build strong, positive relationships and connections with our students, teachers, whānau, learning support staff and outside agencies
  • The strengths to motivate, inspire and lead others in this exciting opportunity.

Roles and responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading inclusive learning (pedagogy and professional development) in collaboration with our other associate principal, principal and leadership team
  • Leading our learning support and ESOL teams
  • Oversight of the international programme.

Other responsibilities:

  • Leading positive behaviour for learning through a strengths-based approach
  • Liaising with external agencies such as CMM, Mana Ake, RTLB and MOE
  • 0.4 teaching component.
