We have a fixed-term position available for a kaiāko in our Rūmaki Teina class, with the possibility of a permanent position in 2020. The position will commence on 29 April.
This is an opportunity for a kaiako fluent in te reo Māori, able to teach our level 1 immersion class. The position will require a highly effective teacher who can inspire and engage children, teachers and the community. You must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent knowledge of Te Marautanga o Aotearoa, Ngā Whanaketanga, Te Waharoa Ararau, and be able to implement learning through inquiry.
We continue an exciting journey in our Dual Medium learning community and seek a key member of our Rūmaki team, prepared to be involved in collaborative change which is future-focused.
The new appointee will be teaching in a composite NE–Y4 class in the Māori medium area of the school. The successful applicant will start term 2.
Strengths in Pangarau, te reo Matatini, digital IT and/or Enviroschools would be helpful.
