We offer a rare and exciting opportunity to work as a resource teacher of literacy (Rt:Lit) within the Napier cluster of schools, in beautiful Hawke's Bay.

The position requires applicants to have an outstanding ability to build positive relationships, communicate, and self-manage. 

The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Teach Y0–8 children with complex and specialised literacy needs
  • Model highly effective practices, strategies, or techniques in order to accelerate literacy progress and achievement
  • Work positively with students, staff and whānau.

Mandatory postgraduate training is provided. A current driver’s licence and own vehicle is required.

An ability to work across Māori medium settings is an advantage.

The position starts at the beginning of term 2.
