The goal of the school is to be the best small high school in New Zealand.

We are seeking an inspirational and collaborative deputy principal to join our senior leadership of one other deputy principal and principal to steer and guide our waka on this exciting journey to achieve our goal. 

We are looking for that special someone who has the qualities of manaakitanga, – leading with moral purpose, awhinatanga – guiding and supporting, pono – having self-belief and ako – being a learner to lead the pastoral care portfolio with specific leadership of PB4L and restorative practice. Other responsibilities will be negotiated.

We are a school with 58% Māori students, the majority of which whakapapa to Maniapoto. Knowledge and understanding of te reo me ōna Tikanga will be an advantage. 

The successful candidate will live in a great community in the heart of the King Country and work in a small school who punch above their weight in many things.
