If you would like to make a difference to education at a national level we are wanting to hear from individuals who have current or recent teaching experience (within the last two years) with the New Zealand Curriculum in secondary subjects.

This is an exciting and career-enhancing opportunity for teachers to develop their professional understanding of moderation further and gain valuable professional development to enhance the teaching and learning of their students.

As a moderator you will have the chance to work with other subject experts to ensure fair, valid and consistent assessment against the standards.

Applicants must understand the principles of standards-based assessment and have knowledge of the New Zealand Qualifications Framework and the National Certificate in Educational Achievement (NCEA). You must have recognised teaching and assessment expertise in NCEA Levels 1–3 in your specialist subject area.

Experience in facilitating workshops or presenting at a regional or national level is desirable.

Suitable applicants must be available to attend moderator training in Wellington, New Zealand on 21 February 2019 prior to being contracted.
