Assistant principals (2 positions)

Thank you for your interest in our 2 fixed-term 2019 positions of AP at the college. These positions arise out of a DP taking maternity leave and are for the 2019 school year.

The LC SLT is usually a team of 4: principal and 3 DPs. We have decided to create 2 AP roles for 2019, for a SLT team of 5, because 2019 is a particular year of change for us and we wish to set up ourselves for success. It continues a model that we have employed for this present term – principal, 2 DPs, 2 APs – that itself arose from a DP resignation at the end of term 3 this year.

The maternity leave does not begin until Monday 25 March and is for a calendar year. However, we are wanting the 2 AP positions to begin at the start of the 2019 school year, and to be for the 2019 school year, to add continuity and minimise disruption. This means that until the maternity leave begins the SLT will have enhanced capacity with a team of 6: principal, 3 DPs, and 2 APs.
