We have a position for a faiaoga to join our Samoan bilingual unit, O Lou Ala i Malo, from the beginning of 2019. We are looking for a faiaoga who believes that our tamaiti deserve the best and will strive to fulfil this commitment through Fa’a Samoa – developing in our children a strong identity, cultural knowledge and bilingual literacy. Fluency in Samoan and English is essential with a sound understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum. This faiaoga will be able to develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues, tamaiti and fanau. The ability to integrate ICT and be innovative in their approach to teaching and learning, or willingness to complete MindLab would be an advantage.
