Aspirational and progressive education environment
Expert teacher with additional management responsibilities
Westport or Greymouth based.
'As an educator, it is our responsibility to equip young people with the capacity to think, solve problems and respond to and thrive within a changing society.'
With 11 campuses across New Zealand, we are a Y3–13 independent special character school. We are unique, delivering the New Zealand Curriculum to over 1,700 students across 16 sites, small classes with motivated and high-achieving students, modern well-equipped learning spaces, an innovative approach to education and a strong focus on self-directed learning.
Reporting to our Nelson-based campus principal, we are seeking an experienced teacher to provide operational, educational and academic leadership and support to our Upper South Campus sites in Westport and Greymouth. Working alongside a supportive campus principal and administrators, the learning leader is responsible for the management and professional leadership of the campus, for implementation of policies and programmes and for the supervision and support of staff and students.
The role is primarily that of an expert teacher with specific additional management responsibilities and applicants should state their curriculum areas and/or strengths when applying.
This role would suit teachers with a clear understanding of 21st century learning practices and experience working in a collaborative learning environment.
Applications from overseas teachers with New Zealand teacher registration will be considered.
