We have a great opportunity for a teacher-in-training to join our newly created team. This is an exciting opportunity for a current student studying towards an early childhood education qualification.

Monday to Friday, 35–40 hours a week.

We provide ongoing professional development, regular mentor meetings as well as non-contact to inspire and motivate you on your journey as an early childhood professional.

The role involves:

  • Developing the curriculum and activities available, ensuring that we follow the interests of our children, embracing their natural curiosity and imagination
  • Working together as part of team to ensure appropriate delivery of nurturing/recreational activities
  • Looking after our children’s wellbeing, considering their social, recreational and individual needs, keeping appropriate records of evidence, observations and assessment
  • Promoting positive relationships and interaction between all adults and children
  • Ensuring parents/carers are well informed of their children’s progress and are always welcome in the centre
  • Attending and participating in parent/staff meetings and other meetings as may be relevant.

Our centre is in the old RSA building in Paraparaumu. A newly refurbished centre with amazing resources, indoor and outdoor areas.
