Due to centre growth we are now looking for an assistant manager / head teacher to join our team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will take the lead as head teacher an O2s room. You will be able to demonstrate strong, up-to-date, curriculum knowledge and a proven ability to lead a team. Key to your success will be your flexibility and willingness, a sense of humour, the ability to use your initiative and being able to thrive under pressure while keeping composed.
As the assistant manager you will also support centre performance including financial, educational and compliance aspects along with team leadership, staff management, whānau relationships and administration. You will have the opportunity to take direct accountability for these criteria when the centre manager is away.
Our ideal candidate possesses the following attributes:
Strong, current curriculum knowledge
A sound track record in customer service; building strong relationships with staff, clients and relevant stakeholders
Strong interpersonal skills (written and spoken) and a confident communicator
Proven organisational and time-management skills
Self-motivated, innovative, reflective and prepared to think beyond the boundaries
Strong overall leadership ability and proven experience in leading teams to achieve set outcomes
Holds a Level 7 ECE qualification and is fully registered/certified
At least 3-years experience working with children in an ECE environment
Experience in a management or supervisory position with staff responsibilities would be an advantage.
