  • To prepare stimulating programme lessons and to teach children in a professional manner, providing appropriate evidence/ data required for NZQA for student course subject accreditation in line with the objectives of the School Charter
  • To have functional relationships with rangatahi, whanau, hapu, iwi, te poari, kaiako, kaimahi o te kura
  • To implement English strategic plan in wharekura and promote good English in the Secondary school curriculum
  • Responsible for timely planning, delivery, assessment and reporting
  • To deliver successful NCEA English student targets as per annual plan
  • Korero Māori in designated wāhi reo 
  • Carry out duties required by school management
  • Implement the curriculum plan to achieve charter objectives
  • Implement, monitor and evaluate student assessments
  • Regular monitoring, evaluation and reporting on children's learning outcomes
  • Encouraging and maintaining positive whānau participation in kura activities
  • Attendance at staff, whānau and professional development meetings as required
  • All employees of Te Rangi Aniwaniwa must be committed to Te Reo  Māori fluency by participating in a Te reo course suitable to individual level (1–8).
