  • Manage all aspects of the class, on a day-to-day basis, in accordance with the special character of the kura, the requirements of the job description, and other regulations as laid down in the Kura Charter and Strategic Plan
  • To prepare lesson plans and teach children in a professional manner, and in line with the objectives of the School Charter
  • To have functional relationships with rangatahi, whānau, hapū, iwi, te poari, kaiako, kaimahi o te kura
  • To complete all teacher registration compliances for Educanz
  • Carry out duties required by school management
  • Implement the curriculum plan to achieve charter objectives
  • Implement, monitor and evaluate student assessments
  • Regular monitoring, evaluation and reporting on children's learning outcomes
  • Encouraging and maintaining positive whānau participation in kura activities
  • Attendance at staff, whānau and professional development meetings as required.
