You will be fully released to work with students, a team of teachers, therapists and teacher aides to support the development and delivery of quality teaching and learning programmes and to build effective partnerships with families and outside agencies to help us achieve our vision: 'Inspiring engagement – realising potential'.
The ideal applicant will have a passion for learning and embrace the exciting challenges of a newly forming school including new school design, curriculum development, and upholding and growing special education pedagogies. A sense of fun is essential.
Central Auckland Specialist School (CASS) is a new school formed by the merger of Carlson School for Cerebral Palsy and Sunnydene Special School. CASS provides quality education for students with a range of complex intellectual, physical, behavioural and sensory needs. Our students are aged between 5 and 21 years and are funded through the Ongoing Resourcing Scheme (ORS).
Our school has 22 classrooms which include a base school and satellite classes which are located across central Auckland.
