2MU + 2MMA

Listed 12:06 PM 11 September 2018

Vacancy reference #: 1H9kaP

We require an experienced, passionate and innovative teacher and manager to lead our English learning area. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate how they can lead the learning area to ensure the success of every student.

Te Kauwhata is experiencing considerable housing development at the present time, and our school roll will be growing as a result, so flexibility and the ability to manage and implement change are vital.

Working collaboratively with other learning area leaders and teachers in the school, you must be committed to raising Māori achievement and restorative practices, be willing to participate in a culturally responsive context, and contribute to the extra and co-curricular life of our school.

The college is situated in a semirural community yet is within easy commuting distance of south Auckland and Hamilton, and we are just 5 minutes from SH1. The highway near Te Kauwhata is currently being upgraded to dual carriageway which will speed up journeys to local towns and cities once it has been completed.

Only applicants with NZ teacher registration will be considered.
