Due to roll growth, our Outreach Service is seeking a teacher who has excellent interpersonal skills and is passionate about supporting students on the Ongoing Resourcing Scheme (ORS) in our mainstream schools.
The specialist teacher works as part of the student’s support team, which includes their class teachers, special education staff, support staff and family or whānau.
The role may encompass a range of activities:
Teaching, assessing, developing programmes
Monitoring progress and next steps
Modelling, supporting teachers and support staff
Contributing to IEPs, whānau meetings.
Are you an experienced teacher who enjoys working with students with high learning needs?
If so, we currently have a 0.4 minimum position (with the possibility of this increasing). You would be working in a well-resourced, welcoming and collaborative team and would be highly supported to develop your skills and strengths in this role.
