We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, fully qualified teacher to join our small team of highly committed, child-centred teaching staff and help mould a new direction for our kura. Located on the edge of Te Urewera, we have a school roll of 29 Māori tamariki, that is growing at an unexpectedly high rate. Our preference, therefore, would be for someone with experience working with new entrants and/or multilevel classes along with some knowledge of te reo Māori.
The school has strong support from the community, with whose help we are in the process of developing a new strategic plan that responds directly to the needs and wishes of this distinctively Māori community. Accommodation available. Start immediately or by negotiation.
