We are seeking an experienced teacher who is enthusiastic, passionate and looking to work in a supportive school environment that is at the heart of the community. You will be a team player who is competent, reflective and has a sense of fun. An understanding of the NZC is essential – we are looking for a top quality classroom teacher who provides agency for students. Recent experience coordinating learning support programmes is also essential, as the successful candidate will take on our learning support coordinator role. This role requires an understanding and experience of learning across a range of year levels. The successful candidate will also have a demonstrated ability to guide other teachers in their practice, specifically around the implementation of learning support strategies. We are looking for someone strong in forming and maintaining effective working relationships with students and whānau. The successful applicant will work in a 2-teacher collaborative learning environment, with a class of Y0–1.
Beyond 2018, there may be opportunities to move to another year level. Our team work in a supportive manner and we have a strong focus on staff wellbeing at our school.
