An independent panel of experts is required for evaluating portfolios for the Advanced Classroom Expertise Teacher recognition process.
During a 2 week period from 22 August, the Ministry of Education intends to engage panelists on a full-time basis to assess portfolios from teachers seeking recognition as an Advanced Classroom Expertise Teacher (ACET).
Dr Mary Simpson will chair the ACET evaluation panel.
To make a submission for appointment as a panel member, a form and accompanying CV is required.

Overview of skills and experiences required:
- Extensive leadership (management) experience and high standing in the primary education sector
- Extensive and current pedagogical knowledge and/or practice
- Postgraduate qualification(s) in an aspect of pedagogy
- Ability to critically analyse and assess information.
