The college seeks applications for a head of performing arts. This is an exciting new position created with the intention of building on the existing strong base of performing arts that already exists at the college, especially our existing music and drama curriculum and co-curricular offerings. The college now intends to deliver dance curricular and co-curricular programmes at the college, thereby ensuring a full performing arts department for students.
The successful candidate will have already earned an excellent reputation for educational leadership, creativity and the ability to lead successful programmes in specialist and integrated performing arts programmes. You will have the unique opportunity to part of the leadership team that help design the new performing arts centre and develop and launch this exciting new initiative.
The college expects to attract a very strong field of candidates for this attractive new role and, with this in mind, the college is open to negotiating a mutually agreed start date to encourage all those considering the position to have the opportunity to do so.
The head of performing arts will be part of the curriculum leadership team that contributes to the long-term strategy and development of the college. Therefore, the ability to take a long-term view, be up-to-date with pedagogy best-practice and have the confidence and experience to contribute at this level is expected.
