Are you an experienced centre manager who is looking for a new challenge? Are you looking to make the step up to more responsibility? Are you wanting to use your knowledge and experience to grow further? Are you ready for a fresh start?

We are looking for a leader who will bring extensive knowledge and enthusiasm to lead our busy centre.

  • Will put our tamariki and whānau first in all matters
  • Has previous proven management experience
  • Is fully certified and has a BEd/Dip Tch (ECE) Level 7 or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years' post degree or post full certification experience
  • Has current knowledge of curriculum (Te Whāriki 2017), planning and assessment
  • Displays integrity and able to respect confidentially
  • Has a broad knowledge and understanding of tamariki from babies to 5 years old.
  • Is proficient at using self-review to sustain ongoing improvement
  • Is able to manage, mentor and inspire our team
  • Is comfortable in a multicultural centre
  • Pays attention to the smallest of details
  • Likes to laugh lots and at themselves!

Previous management experience is essential along with extensive knowledge of operational requirements within the ECE setting, funding, regulations and policies.

You would be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of our centre alongside the centre owners, and working with our centre core values of integrity, support, wonder, independence, humour, conversation and energy.

An established NZ Enviroschool ECE centre which is privately owned and operated, with the owners on site every day. We are licensed for 72 tamariki, operating from 7.30am–6pm, Monday–Friday. Our whānau relationships are extremely important to us in working together for our tamariki.

The applicants must be a NZ citizen or hold a visa to permanently live and work in NZ. Hold a current ECE approved clear police vet and a current first aid certificate.
