We have a professional leadership position available in our Ōtautahi/Christchurch team base. We are seeking applicants with a passion for teaching and research and the ability to build a high performing team, whilst being agile, connected and future-focused. As leader education delivery, you will effectively lead a group of diverse and creative lecturers/ pouako and senior lecturers / senior pouako who deliver high-quality teacher education programmes.

You will focus on community networking to attract and retain students and members, promote and maintain positive relationships with base Kaumatua and local ECE stakeholders. You will also coordinate professional learning and development initiatives in your community, whilst ensuring the smooth functioning of the base through effective management.

You will have the following:

  • Proven professional leadership skills, knowledge and experience
  • Experience in teaching and/or mentoring adults at a tertiary level
  • Ability to articulate e-pedagogy
  • A PhD or Masters' degree in education (is advantageous) or relevant ECE teaching qualifications
  • Early childhood education sector experience. Teacher registration is essential
  • Sound knowledge of and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Demonstrated agility and be future-focused in thinking and outcomes
  • A current full driver's licence and vehicle for work use
  • Willing to travel within New Zealand
  • Knowledge and fluency in te reo Māori me ngā tikanga Māori would be advantageous.
