Responsible to: HOD Spanish and LAD languages.
Direct involvement with: HOD Spanish, LAD languages and all languages staff
Primary responsibility: To contribute to the development of a learning environment in which the aims of the Learning at EGGS Statement may be
achieved within the specific context of the languages learning area.

Key tasks:

  • Teach Y9–13 Spanish
  • Please state any other languages you are prepared to teach
  • Show effective teaching strategies; contribute knowledge about the curriculum to assist with the development of a Y9–13 and Scholarship Spanish programme
  • Have expertise in NCEA Level 1-3 assessments and achievement standards
  • Work alongside teaching colleagues inside the languages learning area
  • Show organisational ability and the ability to meet deadlines associated with administering the subject in a school
  • Be prepared to integrate ICT into the teaching programme to improve student engagement
  • Be involved in co-curricular activities.

  • Able to teach Spanish at all levels
  • Strong in knowledge of NCEA
  • A trained language teacher
