We are looking for a teacher/librarian to lead the development of our school library and information centre (Y1–8). The role involves responsibility for the administration, management and organisation of our school library and resources that support the learning and teaching within the school. This role includes some class and small group teaching and a sound knowledge of student inquiry processes.
To be successful in this position, you will need to be an effective teacher with a passion for literacy, able to relate well to students, staff, parents and whānau and have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience with school libraries an advantage. A current working knowledge and integration of technology will be critical in developing the library as a learning hub within the school.
This part-time position is Monday to Friday.
