We are working alongside a lovely community-focused centre who are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic qualified and registered teacher to join their small team. Located in beautiful Stanley Point – Devonport and is one of four across Auckland.

The centre is licensed for up to 21 children (2–5 years), following a child-centred philosophy guided by Te Whāriki curriculum. They place a strong importance on keeping their child numbers low to ensure they can provide that close-knit community feel and high-quality care for all families and children and the wider community.

To be successful you must have:

  • Clear initiative, particularly in planning and supporting learning
  • Experience working with children aged 2–5 years
  • Current full or provisional teachers registration
  • A clear understanding Te Whāriki curriculum
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A desire to make a positive impact on the children in our care.

Benefits:

  • Be part of a team dedicated to providing the local community with quality early childhood education
  • The ability to spend a large amount of time outdoors and in the local community
  • Support and mentoring for continuing teachers registration as well as regular non-contact time weekly
  • An individual ‘caregiver’ teacher is assigned to each child to provide consistency of care
  • Small, friendly team who have experience, open communication and are supportive and open to new ideas
  • Transition-to-school programme
  • Great ERO report.

If this sounds like the type of centre, team and role you are looking for we would love to hear from you.
