EOI – ESA teachers, subject matter experts and subject reviewers.

Christmas expenses sorted?

ESA Publications study resources are going online. We are using the ESA materials as the basis for online courses built in our interactive learning platform iQualify. We need input from experienced NCEA teachers to ensure we are developing high-quality resources for NZ learners and teachers.

For each achievement standard, we have two roles – Subject Matter Experts and Subject Reviewers.

We have two development cycles available:

  • November–December
  • January 2018

NCEA subject matter expert:

Science, chemistry, biology, physics, geography, history, economics, accounting, business studies.

You will work from home to review existing digital achievement standards material and develop additional learning activities. These include writing multi choice questions, open response questions and writing appropriate question feedback.

The subject matter experts will be paid $1,000 per achievement standard (approximately 30 hours work).

NCEA subject reviewer:

Science, chemistry, biology, physics, geography, history, economics, accounting, business studies.

You will work from home to peer review improvements suggested by subject matter experts. This role ensures that improvements suggested by the subject matter expert are correct and at the appropriate level and that the style guide is consistently applied.

The subject reviewer will be paid $200 per achievement standard (approximately 8 hours work).

Ideally, we will look to pair teachers to work across multiple standards together, where the roles alternate.

To apply, please send a copy of your CV, covering letter and an example of an activity you’ve created to EDSolutions.EOI@openpolytechnic.ac.nz. In your application, please indicate the number of hours per week you have available for this project.
