We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, innovative school leader to accelerate teacher performance and play a major role in the development of an engaging secondary school curriculum over the next 3 years. You will design and implement a teacher development programme to ensure a high standard of professional practice is evident across all school sectors. You will lead the development and delivery of a cultural ambassador programme which will connect secondary student learning pathways with the local tourism industry and local marae. You will ensure students 90% of whom are Māori, are highly engaged and achieving their potential.
As the successful applicant you will be eligible for:
Area Schools Priority Teacher Supply Allowance ($1,500–$2,500 per annum)
As well, you may be eligible for:
Transfer and removal expenses
School housing may be available.
Key skills and attributes required:
Sound pedagogical skill and knowledge
Sound knowledge of the NZ Curriculum and/or Marautanga o Aotearoa
Sound knowledge and expertise in the delivery of a curriculum which recognises Māori potential
An ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students and staff.
