We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, flexible school leader to lead curriculum development and improve teacher performance in the Y1–6 area of our school. You will be part of a wider team effort to rapidly improve student outcomes and increase teacher capacity over the next 3 years. You will play a key role in the development of the school curriculum that is more responsive to student needs, particularly those of Māori. This will involve taking advantage of resources and opportunities in the local community and environment. Successful applicants will work hard, learn quickly and contribute positively to the wider school community.
As the successful applicant you will be eligible for:
Area schools priority teacher supply allowance ($1,500–$2,500 per annum).
As well, you may be eligible for:
TeachNZ voluntary bonding scheme ($3,500 per annum for the next 5 years)
Recruitment, retention and responsibility allowance (upon negotiation and if ineligible for TeachNZ voluntary bonding scheme)
Transfer and removal expenses
School housing may be available.

Sound pedagogical skill and knowledge
