We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated educator who can empower and inspire our students, staff and community through strong leadership.
Our new principal will have:
Successful experience at leading effective teaching and learning that reflects the NZ Curriculum,
An ability to articulate a clear vision for teaching and learning in a 21st Century context, with future-focused pedagogy, including e-learning,
Proven experience in significantly improving standards and achievement of all students,
Strengths in leading and supporting staff, including building and maintaining morale, enabling effective collaboration, encouraging personal growth and creativity, and delegating effectively,
An ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and whānau, and the wider community,
Effective communication skills, who is approachable, open and transparent, listens and is proactive,
A value for diversity, and a commitment to treating everybody fairly, equitably, with dignity and respect,
Commitment to biculturalism, the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and driven to support ‘Māori achieving success as Māori’,
Energy, a sense of humour, and can have fun.
