Applications are invited from qualified and experienced speech-language therapists for a position in our Learning Support Team, in the Wellington region, based at our Lower Hutt office.

Successful applicants will be required to provide services to students and preschoolers with disabilities / communication difficulties, working with their parents / whānau, teachers and support staff to improve outcomes for these children.

The work will involve participating in multi-disciplinary collaborative teams and includes establishing effective relationships with parents, families and whānau, educators and others working in the community.

Applicants need to have excellent teaming, interpersonal and written and oral communication skills. The ability to work effectively with children, parents, whānau, caregivers, teachers and other specialists, and a commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi is essential.

Applicants must be eligible for membership of the NZSTA.
