The school seeks an enthusiastic principal for Y1–13 with a sound knowledge of the NZ Curriculum and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa to accommodate students who come from total immersion and mainstream schools. The principal we seek will have strong standards in te reo Māori me ōna tikanga, and be an approachable and visionary person who has expertise in best practice of teaching and learning.

We invite you to join and lead a professional staff who will be committed to the special character of our school and a distributed leadership model. 

Our principal will also:

  • Be a leader who cares and considers the needs of our school staff for the betterment of the students

  • Demonstrate a passion for child-centred and personalised learning
  • Have proven organisational and management ability
  • Demonstrate a willingness to work collaboratively – distributed leadership knowledge is an advantage
  • Have a strong ICT knowledge aand understanding – Microsoft 365 is an advantage
  • Have experience in participating in Ngā Manu Kōrero at regional and national level and secondary schools kapa haka
  • Hold high expectations for all staff, students and senior management.

This position commences term 1, 2018.
