This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an educational leader with experience in Māori-medium leadership. The unit has a long and proud tradition of excellence in academic, sporting and cultural programmes and has received a sequence of positive comments over the past 4 ERO reports. The school roll currently sits at 1100, with 180 attending the unit.

The BOT seeks a person with:

  • Matatau i te reo Māori me ona tikanga
  • A successful record of leadership within a Māori medium or kura kaupapa setting
  • A clear vision of educational success for students, with a strong focus on raising student achievement
  • An appreciation of the importance of community partnership, including whānau
  • A proven ability to motivate and lead staff
  • An ability to provide the student body with a sense of security, trust and confidence.
