This is a unique opportunity to join our Y5–6, innovative, flexible and collaborative learning environment that is not bound by traditional classroom routines and where we respond creatively to challenges by taking risks to ensure the primacy of student learning.

We would love to hear from anyone who can demonstrate the following qualities:

Have you ever wanted to try something new, but have not been permitted? Or don’t feel confident to take the risks? We offer you the opportunity and the support to take professional risks in a team that celebrates and learns from its failures and successes.

Teachers are encouraged to challenge and disrupt their thinking by developing their own personal learning pathways through Spirals of Inquiry. You will be given professional support and time to spend on your own professional learning.

Building strong relationships with colleagues, parents and emerging adolescents is the key to improving students outcomes. Student relationships are key in building an inclusive learning environment that supports equity and equality for all students.

Challenging and pushing students in their passion and interest-based inquiries and a hands-on, future-focused curriculum programme. Questioning students to further develop their curiosities and expand their world.

To survive, there are days when laughter is at the at the top of our survival kit. Teaching is about improving student outcomes, but it can’t be achieved without having a great sense of humour and fun. And of course, being familiar with Google Drive, or willingness to learn, is a bonus.

Our school has innovative, flexible and collaborative spaces. It is an opportunity for not only students to learn in such an environment, but also for teachers to utilise each other’s strengths.

The continuation of the position will be reviewed towards the end of term 3 2018, with the possibility of it becoming permanent.
