If you enjoy teaching in a collaborative team environment and also enjoy to think out of the box – be creative and innovative, and open to learning new ways, nau mai, haere mai! We have created a positive learning environment here in Whangara with tamariki who enjoy learning and like to be inspired about the world around them. A commitment to our learning vision and kaupapa is a must with our values being ako, turangawaewae, whakapapa and mohiotanga. You must be prepared to get outdoors with learning, eg. get a bit muddy at times, surf, paddle. Connect with our whānau and support us in building the identity and culture of our learners! We are looking for those special teachers who can connect with our learners and support them to becoming powerful, confident, capable managers of their own learning. Commitment to te reo Māori and being able to support Māori medium education would be valuable. If you have the drive and energy, we have a place for you amongst our postive whānau here at our school.
