The successful applicant will support our school having a culture of personal excellence in a future-oriented learning environment. They must have a thorough understanding of the curriculum, be able to demonstrate and lead culturally responsive and appropriate pedagogies, have had experience in using e-learning platforms and be able to apply assessment practices that support learning. Leadership experience in literacy development in a cross-curricular setting is desirable. The languages component comprises supporting the teacher of te reo, and having an overview of the foreign languages which are taught through videoconferencing and in an online environment. Teaching inquiries form the basis for driving change in pedagogical and learning effectiveness, and are used towards appraisal.
We are a multicultural school of just over 300 students with an increasing roll. There is an emphasis on creating opportunities for academic achievement, in performing and cultural arts, sports and leadership development. Our most recent ERO review highlighted the respectful relationships amongst our school community and we have received a 3 year review cycle.
