They must have a thorough understanding of the curriculum, be able to demonstrate and lead culturally responsive and appropriate pedagogies, have had experience in using e-learning platforms and be able to apply assessment practices that support learning. Leadership experience in literacy development in a cross-curricular setting is desirable. The languages component comprises supporting the teacher of te reo, and having an overview of the foreign languages which are taught through videoconferencing and in an online environment.
