Volunteer-guide led educational tours are available for school groups visiting Matiu/Somes Island. These half-day morning or afternoon tours cover the island's unique cultural and natural history. They fit well with the New Zealand Curriculum and with NCEA programmes.
The tour cost is $2 per student (plus $13 per student for the return ferry fare).
Please note that as the term 4 demand for tours can exceed guiding capacity, bookings for November and December should be made by the end of term 3.

ZooVentures brings interactive workshops to your Auckland school with an amazing range of exotic creatures and pets, covering many of the 'living world' curriculum topics, as well as providing inspiration for art and creative writing.
One teacher describes it as 'like a zoo trip, but more hands on and no travel to organise".
There is a high level of interaction in our sessions, students have huge lizards on their laps, see chinchillas rolling in a dustbath, hold rare tortoises, build leopard gecko habitats and many more exciting and engaging experiences.
Structured interactive learning with a high educational value.
Take the sting out of interviews for your students!
CareerStart has developed a resource to support careers advisers as they assist students with interview skills, whether it's for a part-time job, permanent employment, or even tertiary study.
The aim is to narrow the gap between candidate and interviewer through a step-wise guide to preparation, the interview itself, and follow up. Worksheets reinforce each step, with master copies sent to careers coaches.
'Job Interview Success' is a concise and relatable guide, and an invaluable teaching tool. Run individual coaching sessions, group workshops or have a copy on hand to lend students.
